The mindset evolution through our journey.

The experience we had went way beyond the American sports business aspect we were hoping to learn about.

We discovered the US work ethic and network and we could clearly see the hard work mentality of the USTA. We discovered this difference of mentality straight from the beginning of the journey…

So how is the American vision different ?

Is the mindset the people have at the USTA productive and successful for the growth of Tennis ?

We came to New York with this mentality of learning but also to create a solid network and take every opportunity to expand our contacts and perhaps use our network in the future to have professional opportunities. Many people think that to be successful you have to take opportunities when they present themselves and not letting it go, but we learned another way of making it happen without forcing anything and creating social and professional success.

This change of mindset came a few hours after arriving in New York.

Indeed, after arriving at the hotel and meeting with Deepak Trivedi, we had to interview Dr. Dale Caldwell which was a great experience.

Mr. Trivedi taught us through the week we had with him, that social network and being a good person is very important. You have to create a solid relationship with someone that you will like to do business with.

We listened to his advice and we had more interviews to do all week long. And Mr. Deepak Trivedi was right. In the end, our interviews weren’t even interviews anymore. They became nice conversations and people opened up much more to us, it was so amazing to have deeper conversations with people and learning way more.

And in the end, people wanted to keep in contact with us. This change of mentality we have now have stayed for life and we learned great social skills in order to be happy in our professional life, but also in our personal life.

This change of mentality allowed us to meet the legendary Stan Smith !
